Nastya Dzutstsati

I am a photographer, videographer, writer, and researcher based in New York City. My work moves across journalism, visual storytelling, and human rights advocacy, distilling complexity into sharp, clear narratives. I explore themes of grief, borders, sapphic love, and the temporalities of exile, both in my writing and through the lens. In 2023, I delivered a TEDx talk on writing in exile. I guest lectured at Columbia University, Cooper Union, Bard College, Stony Brook University, and NYU. Outside of work, I spend most of my time in Harlem, shop at Tashkent Supermarket in Brighton Beach, and go on long walks with my watercolors in Riverside Park.
